You Are Freaking Brilliant…

I struggled this week on what I wanted to share with you. I actually had one article written and another in draft mode, but neither were hitting the mark for me instinctually.

This morning I woke with a rush of energy and intense passion. I knew exactly what my message needed to be. Read on if you are ready to be inspired and at the same time feel a little uncomfortable.

We, as women in leadership (by the way, that’s you), need to persist in having our voices heard. You need to speak up for other women who may not for varying reasons (i.e. fear, physical abuse) cannot in their current situation. You need to speak up for your mothers, daughters, sons, grandchildren and next door neighbors.

As recent as this week, a prominent, high profile female leader in our government was silenced… like a lamb. You cannot convince me that our beloved suffragettes who persisted for hours, days, weeks and years to blow the door wide open for our ability to express our opinions and views would accept what’s happening.

The area where you can add your name and other details below email messages is valuable marketing real estate that you can use to create awareness about your business and attract potential clients.

I discovered this years ago when my children were in pre-school and I volunteered to become the room parent. This volunteer position involved communicating during the school year with the families about upcoming events and important announcements. I had included a link in my signature line area for people to sign up for my ezine and this created curiosity among the women in my children’s classroom. Before I knew it, there were quite a few women on my list from using this tool and they began showing up for my local Women’s Success Circles!

The staff is friendly and organized. The dermatologist has a nice personality and is both thorough and fast. A few days ago, I contacted a friend to ask for a referral recommendation for a big project I’m working on. My referral source responded quickly providing me with the information I needed. I was so excited to speak with this potential resource. I immediately and eagerly reached out by email. No reply. Within 48 hours, I made a second attempt via email and phone. No reply.

Can you imagine how I felt?

I have great respect for the person who made the referral. In fact, it was most likely a “done deal” because of the person who made the referral, however the lack of response left me feeling unsure. I began to question the professionalism and expertise of the person I was trying to reach.
