I've been off the grid for the past few weeks enjoying spring break with my family and then I took a trip to the East Coast to spend some time with my father who's ailing. I also had a chance to reconnect with several friends from childhood and college, which is always a special treat.
May is conference season and I'm traveling locally quite a bit in order to connect with women entrepreneurs. On May 9th, I'll be the MC and panel leader for the South Bay Women's Conference here in Los Angeles. I just got the word that the conference is completely sold out so I'm thrilled about the electric energy that will be inside that room! Then the California Women's Conference is coming up on May 19 & 20 with a great lineup of women who are dedicated to creating change and shaping the future for women. This weekend, along with my co-leader, I'm headed out to an overnight camping trip with our Girl Scout Troop. There's no glamping here – we are truly roughing it. I'm not a huge fan of camping so wish me luck. : -) 
Today, I'm headed east to see my parents and sister in Charleston, West Virginia. I'm looking forward to spending the Easter weekend with them and hopefully reconnecting with some friends while I'm there.

so it took some time to read to a 6 & 8 year old. Most nights, the kids couldn’t wait to eat dinner, take a bath and hop in bed to hear what’s happening next to the cast of characters—Reynie, Sticky, Kate and Constance. We finished the book and with the ending came two emotions. You can’t wait to move on to the next chapter to see how the plot will unfold and yet, you never want it to end. I invite you to find a chapter book that you and your children will enjoy and read it together. It’s truly magical.
