It's been a Hollywood, red-carpet kind of week here at our house. Our son was invited to sit court side at the Laker game earlier this week with friends and our daughter Jenna had red-carpet access to an early showing of “Catching Fire” last night with her Girl Scout Troop!
I had my own “Hollywood” moment this week as well. I received an email from a woman who just finished my book, “What's Next?: The 7 Steps to Discover Your Big Idea and Create a Wildly Successful Business” and it literally brought me to tears. For me, knowing that this book is changing so many women's lives is all I need to feel like I have my star on the walk of fame. : -)
Here's a small excerpt of what she had to say:
“I sat down to read your book and learned something from every single page of it. As you know, I'm an entrepreneur and have been since 2000. My company is Edge of Your Seat Consulting and your book truly made me think about what is next for my business. In a few short hours, I figured out that I need to do a faith-based type program/conference in the Austin area during the summer of 2014. I made a few calls Saturday afternoon and my trusted advisors said they were truly waiting on me to stop making excuses and do some faith-based/spirituality work. So, in June of 2014 the first Uplift conference will launch.
On a personal level, I have been reflecting on the portion of the book where you talk about my relationship with time. Wow. I've been truly pondering this question and it has given me great pause. Today I woke up with a more positive relationship with time. What a wake-up call.
The truth is your book is a game changer for me. I am so proud to even know you. And, I want you to know that you have allowed me to redesign the familiar in my life in just a few short days and I already feel an increase in my well-being.”
You can read the rest on my website here.
If you're ready to make 2014 a “game-changing” year for your life and business, I invite you to hop on over to Amazon and get a copy of my book. This is the ideal time to make plans for next year to be YOUR year.
If you live in the US, I want to wish you a bountiful and abundant Thanksgiving. I'm so excited for the holiday season to begin. : -)
