This week, I’ve been primarily focused on family. It was a big week for my son Jack who “graduated” from elementary school and is headed off to middle school in the fall (when I was a young girl, we called it Junior High : -)) People sometimes feel this is an ending, however I viewed it as a “pause” in his life to reflect on the journey up to now and to prepare for the road ahead. I find parenting to be intangible because you never know if the message and actions you offer to your children will actually help them become smart, confident and empathetic adults but as I watched Jack yesterday, I was a very proud Mom.
Last week, I had the opportunity to spend the evening with Ali Brown and some members of her Elevate program at the W Hotel in Westwood. It was a fun evening with great conversation, laughter and meeting new women entrepreneurs who are excited about their business.
Tonight, I’m headed to the 35th Anniversary for Women’s Referral Service in Hollywood. I served as President of two different chapters of this organization some years ago and it was a meaningful experience both personally and professionally.
A BIG warm welcome to all our new readers this week!
