According to pet care industry research in 2016, health care services for pets was nearly $16 billion dollars and growing.
After her dog had surgery, Dr. Amy Kramer, a physical therapist, saw that what she does with her patients every day would be a great rehab solution for her dog. The physical therapy worked and Amy couldn’t stop thinking about all the vets performing surgery across LA and how those dogs would need her physical therapy treatment. This lead Dr. Kramer to open the doors to Beach Animal Rehabilitation Center (BARC) which works to incorporate rehabilitation techniques so that pets can get well again.
On today’s show, we’ll talk about how Dr. Kramer got started in her now very successful business, her BEST tips for growth, how she deals with employees, her #1 productivity tip, what she thinks about the NBA finals, and more.
I really strive to make sure that my employees are happy and I ask all the time, ‘what can I do to make your job easier for you?’.” – Dr. Amy Kramer
If I don’t get good sleep, no matter what those things are that are going on in my head, I’m not going to do those things well if I’m not well rested.” – Dr. Amy Kramer
Just don’t be afraid to ask for help, because it is out there.” – Dr. Amy Kramer

The quality of the relationship that a woman has with money can either move her forward or it can keep her stuck.” – Meriflor Toneatto
Whatever you focus on grows. And if you put your attention towards negativity, fear and doubt then that is what you experience in your world.” – Meriflor Toneatto
Lizanne Falsetto ditched a college basketball scholarship for an international modeling career. While on the road, Lizanne found herself hungry but didn’t like the fast food options so she created her own high-protein, zero-sugar, food-on-the-go snack, what we now call the thinkThin® bar! It set a trend as the FIRST protein bar to be gluten-free.
Lizanne went on to create a lifestyle brand and a national market leader. She ultimately sold thinkThin® to Glambia, Inc. in 2016 for $215 million dollars. Wow.
The No. 1 thing that I would say to the women out there who want to learn about cash flow is to always keep your payables (what you have to pay) at least 20% lower than your receivables (the money coming in).” – Lizanne Falsetto
I knew I had to surround myself with the best. And I always had that mentality, but it is almost to the point where you bring people in who are smarter than you.” – Lizanne Falsetto
I think that team sport is a valuable lesson because you can play your position well, but you have to play with your team.” – Lizanne Falsetto
The number #1 barrier to getting a business off the ground is fear and I’ve shared tips and solutions on fear of failure and how to overcome this barrier for years. Today, I want to focus on the second biggest barrier to getting a business off the ground. What do you think it is? Money. Entrepreneurs struggle with access to enough money to stay in business until it becomes profitable. According to the US Small Business Administration, at any given time, there are roughly 27 million US businesses in need of capital.
In the past, access to money to build a business has been limited by a very small pool of people that we know or come in contact with. Reaching out to friends and family is how most entrepreneurs get started or maybe you bankrolled yourself initially by using a credit card (like me!). These tactics present a very narrow path to securing the much needed capital entrepreneurs need for expansion.

Although April has arrived, I’m still wearing sweaters and Ugg boots most days – it’s chilly here along the Pacific. : -)
Next week, I’ll be heading to warm & sunny Scottsdale, Arizona to spend the day with Ali Brown where we’ll meet with the members of our 90 Day Coaching Profit System for a special bonus day. We’ve spent the last 12 weeks working with this group online to help them build and grow more profitable coaching businesses and I’m looking forward to meeting these women in person.
Recently, I had the opportunity to spend the day strategizing with a group of smart women entrepreneurs from different parts of the world. It was an energizing day focused on topics such as effective marketing, clear messaging to attract your ideal client, time management and money.
At one point, women were expressing the challenges they face in getting everything accomplished each day including running a business, managing a family, and hopefully time to squeeze in a little self-care.
I shared with the group that when I’m in the office, I ask myself three questions to help me stay focused and directed on making money in my business:
1. Where is the potential for new business?
2. Are my private clients and groups experiencing award winning results?
3. Have I reached out to my referral sources this week?
Imagine… finally discovering someone who truly cares about your success and believes in you. Someone who has the knowledge and a step-by-step approach to help you get clear, confident and focused on your vision and dream as a woman entrepreneur. Learn More
