At the age of 27, Heidi dealt with the heartache of losing her husband in a tragic plane crash on his 25th birthday as well as the loss of a million dollar insurance settlement. Thankfully, Heidi’s entrepreneurial spirit and love of dogs kicked in and she went on to build Camp Bow Wow.
Heidi turned Camp Bow Wow into a $100 million dollar brand in the pet and franchise industry with over 130 Bow Wow camps around the country. Camp Bow Wow was named an Inc. 500/5,000 Fastest Growing Companies five years in a row. Heidi was also named one of Fortune Magazine’s “10 Most Promising Entrepreneurs,” and Parade Magazine called her “one of the top women entrepreneurs in this country.”
Today, Heidi’s efforts are focused on The Fight Back Foundation which she began in order to alleviate some of the prominent issues that kids deal with today. Heidi is now married to her husband, Jason, and they have four teenagers and a Lab that keeps them busy!
