Wow! What a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday we had. My mom spent 10 days with us. We went to soccer
games, played Junior Monopoly, Chutes and Ladders, read books and of course, ate a lot of good food! Greg’s parents joined us for a few days as well, which was great for everyone to reconnect again as an extended family. My mom went back home to the East Coast yesterday. I always feel a little blue when she goes. I am grateful that she is with us and able to make the trip.
On Saturday night, Greg and I went to a black tie affair. Our good friends’ daughter had her Debutante Ball. There were 14 girls who had completed a six-year journey of 1,000 hours of community service. This was their night to be honored. It was decorated beautifully, the food and drink were delicious, and the band was incredible. We danced until 1:00 am! I’m usually in bed by 10:00 pm every night, so this was a stretch for me!
In my Women’s Success Circles, we are having a conversation about looking at their businesses in terms of rocket ships getting ready to launch for a journey into 2009. What will they need to have on board for a successful flight? How about you? Are you ready to go?
