Is Your Family Reading?

Last night, something amazing happened. Our family has been reading, “The Mysterious Benedict Society” by Trenton Lee Stewart. Both Jack and Jenna enjoyed every minute of the book. It was a lengthy book (over 400 pages) 03-26-09reading so it took some time to read to a 6 & 8 year old. Most nights, the kids couldn’t wait to eat dinner, take a bath and hop in bed to hear what’s happening next to the cast of characters—Reynie, Sticky, Kate and Constance. We finished the book and with the ending came two emotions. You can’t wait to move on to the next chapter to see how the plot will unfold and yet, you never want it to end. I invite you to find a chapter book that you and your children will enjoy and read it together. It’s truly magical.

I had an amazing first Success Circle last week with my new “Profits with Passion” group. The women in this group are smart, energetic, dynamic and full of ideas. They met for the first time and by the end, positive ideas and possibilities for the future were flying back and forth across the room from each woman. I love this work!

Women’s history month is coming to an end. If you have a wise woman in your life who has been there for you in times of challenge, embraced your ideas and cheered you on, pick up the phone and let her know how much she means to you. March is about celebrating the women in our lives who truly make a difference. These are the women who have walked in front of you and beside you to clear a path for our daughters who walk behind us.
